Our Story
SIMPLICITÉ was born from a gap that Founder, Rukayah knew personally. At fifteen, after making the decision to wear the hijab, she found herself caught between who she was and what was available to her. High street stores offered workarounds: layers, cardigans, compromise. She wasn't interested in compromising.

A late night on Pinterest introduced her to Dubai's abaya culture, and something clicked. The world she was looking for existed. It just wasn't where she lived yet.
HOW IT STARTED
For years, Rukayah quietly prepared. She taught herself to sew, researched fabrics, practised web design, did photoshoots with friends before there was anything to sell.
When she finally launched, the response was immediate. Pieces sold out. Collections followed. And the confirmation she needed came on an ordinary afternoon in New York City, passing a woman on the street wearing Simplicité, with no idea who had made it. At a time when this kind of modest fashion wasn't widely accessible in the US, that woman had found it.
WHAT WE MAKE
Every SIMPLICITÉ piece is produced in limited quantities using hand-selected fabrics. Most of our fabrics cannot be sourced twice, which means every collection is genuinely limited and restocks are rare.
From printed hijabs where art meets modest dressing, to abayas designed for the woman who understands that less is everything. Nothing rushed. Nothing mass-produced.
OUR PROMISE
SIMPLICITÉ was created for the woman who doesn't need a reason to dress well. Not for Eid, not for the occasion, not for the special day. For the ordinary Tuesday that deserves to feel extraordinary too.
Five years in, that vision hasn't changed. The brand has grown across continents but the commitment remains the same: modest fashion made for women who were never an afterthought.
